With over 50 years of experience and a record of innovation, C.A. “Bud” Cataldo is regarded throughout the industry as a visionary leader. He founded Hostmark Hospitality Group after working as a senior executive with the Holiday Inn brand and launching The Management Group, one of the first hotel management firms to offer full-scope organizational support to property departments. His accolades include the Illinois Hotel & Lodging Association Chairman’s Hospitality Award, a Lifetime Achievement Award from Roosevelt University’s Manfred Steinfeld School of Hospitality Management, and the Michigan State Industry Leader Award.
Robert J. Cataldo
Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer
Robert J. Cataldo is known in the industry for his hands-on approach, and it has served him — and Hostmark — well. The responsibility for maintaining operations at all of Hostmark Hospitality Group’s assets falls on his shoulders, and his prowess for shouldering that load resulted in a Patrick Leahy Lifetime Achievement Award from the Illinois Hotel & Lodging Association. Mr. Cataldo’s experience and foresight into consumer trends also prompted the launch of the Amalfi Hotel Chicago, Hostmark’s boutique hotel concept, as well as the company’s international expansion. He serves on the board of the Illinois Lodging Association as well as Roosevelt University’s Manfred Steinfeld School of Hospitality Management.
Jerome F. Cataldo
President and Chief Executive Officer
With a career in hotel operations that began in 1982, Jerome F. Cataldo has occupied a variety of positions within Hostmark Hospitality Group. In his current role, he seeks acquisition and management opportunities for Hostmark Hospitality Group, manages the organization’s development team, and establishes strategic business partnerships. He has played a vital role in establishing Hostmark’s sterling international reputation, and he shares his expertise by serving on the Midwest Lodging Summit Advisory board and as a recurring lecturer at Roosevelt University’s Manfred Steinfeld School of Hospitality and Tourism Management. He also formerly served on the Board of Directors of the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau. Mr. Cataldo received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration at Marquette University and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from DePaul University.
William D. Gingrich, II
CPA, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
William D. Gingrich jumped head first into the hospitality industry in 1979 after working as a CPA with a local firm, and he has built a varied resume that includes a stint as the CEO of a Denver-based hotel company. At Hostmark, he oversees financing, budgeting, tax structuring, and risk management, in addition to acquisition and development. He is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Hospitality Financial & Technology Professionals (HFTP). Mr. Gingrich holds a degree from Western Michigan University.
Bradley A. Weiser
Principal, Hostmark Development
Bradley A. Weiser has created a storied portfolio of success stories during his tenure at The Continental Companies, LLC, world-renowned New York Restaurant Regine’s, and Carnival Hotels & Casinos. He also served as the Chairman, President, and Founder of The TANGO Group, an award-winning venture that has grown to include nine restaurants in the United States and Canada. A University of Denver alumnus, Mr. Weiser serves on the Executive Advisory Board of the University of Denver, the University of Miami Citizen’s Board, and as a visiting lecturer and speaker at the University of Denver’s School of Hospitality and Management.
L.W. “Biff” Hawkey, Jr.
Senior Vice President of Development
L.W. Hawkey is responsible for the creation and oversight of financial restructuring, deal- sourcing, reorganization, and workout plans for Hostmark Hospitality Group’s clients. He has also provided remarkable support and guidance to borrowers and lenders in foreclosure, bankruptcy and receivership situations. Mr. Hawkey has authored several books, holds B.A. and J.D. degrees, serves as an adjunct professor at Roosevelt University in Chicago, and is frequently sought by his peers as a keynote speaker.
Brian Tkac, CHDM
Senior Vice President of Marketing & Sales
Responsible for the oversight of sales, marketing, and revenue management for Hostmark Hospitality Group’s assets, Brian heads the SMART (Sales, Marketing, And Revenue Team), which spearheads sales, branding, communications and digital marketing efforts. Brian joined Hostmark in 1994 after making his name in a variety of executive sales and marketing positions. He serves on the America’s Board of Hotel Sales and Marketing Association International, and in 2013 was named by the organization as a Top 25 Extraordinary Mind in Sales and Marketing. Brian earned a Bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University and attends the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.
Vice President of Operations
Don Corbosiero provides leadership and operational direction for many of Hostmark’s full-service hotels and resorts. Mr. Corbosiero began his career at Americana Hotels and went on to hold positions at numerous hotels in ten different states across several brands. He has earned Hostmark’s General Manager of the Year award, and assets that he has managed have earned the Full Service Property of the Year award on multiple occasions. In 2010, Don was also recognized as General Manager of the Year by Wyndham Hotels and Resorts. Mr. Corbosiero is a graduate of Nazareth College, Rochester NY, achieving a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Economics with special emphasis on Marketing and International Business.
SPHR, Vice President of Human Resources
Christine Andrews directs Hostmark’s human resources/employee relations division. She has held a variety of HR positions at Hostmark properties in addition to implementing HR programs for Hostmark’s clients. She serves on the advisory board for Kendall College and AH&LA’s Training and Education Advisory Council, and is an active member of the Society of Human Resources Management and Council of Hotel and Restaurant Trainers. Ms. Andrews received her bachelor's degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she majored in Hotel Administration, and holds a Master's degree in Hospitality Management from Roosevelt University.
Vice President of Operations
Jay brings over 30 years of leadership experience in all facets of hotels operations and multiple brands to his role with HHG. Starting with HHG in 2012, Jay’s career progression has included Food and Beverage Management and Sales and Marketing. He has 15+ years as a General Manager, and he was promoted to a multi-unit role with Hostmark overseeing three hotels in Appleton, Wisconsin. Jay has a proven record of transitioning property operations for successful results and leading teams to win Jay lives in Wisconsin and is responsible for a portfolio of branded and non-branded properties. Jay was awarded Volunteer of the Year-2004 from Appleton, Inc., serves on the Wisconsin Hotel and Lodging Association Board and on Life Promotions Board of Directors. Jay earned Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh
